GLAM4GOOD, in partnership with Nine West Eyewear, hosted 150 students at New York City’s High School of Fashion Industries with an inspiring panel discussion and mentoring event focused on preparing students for college interviews, job interviews, and presentations with an emphasis on social impact. Titled #VISIONQUEST, the GLAM4GOOD Foundation has built an interactive, experiential curriculum around self-esteem, confidence, fearlessness and the power of presentation to enhance and promote entrepreneurship in high school teens.
A illustrious panel of fashion industry visionaries and GLAM4GOOD board members, shared ideas with the students which they can use to empower their dreams and plan for their aspiring futures. The #VISIONQUEST panel participants include: Mary Alice Stephenson, Founder & CEO, GLAM4GOOD (moderator), Dee Hilfiger, Designer & Philanthropist and GLAM4GOOD Board Member, Stacy London, Fashion TV Personality, Women’s Rights Activist and GLAM4GOOD Board Member, Adam Glassman, Creative Director, O, The Oprah Magazine and GLAM4GOOD Board Member, Mara Hoffman, Fashion Designer and Ty Hunter, Fashion Director, Beyonce’s Stylist, and Founder of Passion Projects.
Following the panel, students were invited to participate in a GLAM4GOOD #SHOPPINGSPREE4FREE where the students shopped to select work and interview appropriate fashion and accessories from dozens of designer brands, as well as receive eye exams and optical eyewear from Nine West Eyewear, all free of charge. “This event supports the belief that a student’s vision of where or who they want to be is one of the greatest assets they can have,” says GLAM4GOOD Founder, Mary Alice Stephenson. “We are honored and humbled by the generosity of our partners who support us, making it possible to host these events in such an inspiring and enriching way. We are thrilled to have Nine West Eyewear supporting this initiative because they also believe that girls with dreams become women with vision.”
