October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Other than skin cancer, breast cancer is the most common cancer affecting American women today so to honor those surviving, fighting, and affected by breast cancer, Alepel, a super chic, artistic shoe brand, has partnered with GLAM4GOOD and influencer Angeles Almuna on an exclusive, hand-painted collection that celebrates the beauty and strength of women through the adversity of cancer.
Hand-painted by Luis Alberto Cancu, a young hearing impaired artist from Dominican Republic, the two unique styles feature delicate peonies, which symbolize good fortune, happiness, and positivity for the future. The peony is therefore an important focus of this limited-edition capsule collection. This floral imagery also incorporates the pink color scheme, which typifies solidarity with those affected Breast Cancer, especially in October.
