ULTIMATE WINTER #SHOPPINGSPREE4FREE FOR GIRLS IN NEED

“The event made me feel wonderful.  It was an exhilarating experience. It made me feel that not every day will be stormy and some days will be filled with sunshine. That is how this GLAM4GOOD day was for me, a day full of sunshine in my toughest time.”

OVER 50 BRANDS PROVIDE WINTER COATS & ACCESSORIES

350 women and girls in need were empowered with style by some of fashion’s biggest brands and stylists. The GLAM4GOOD Foundation threw a shopping spree for free for widows of fallen NYPD & FDNY; Syrian refugees now living in New York; homeless teens; disadvantaged young female athletes; mothers who have lost kids from gun violence; and women and teens from domestic abuse shelters.

GLAM4GOOD Founder Mary Alice Stephenson, joined by television personality and best-selling author Stacy London, and many of the GLAM4GOOD Board’s renowned celebrity stylists — Adam Glassman, Ann Caruso, Ty Hunter — gave back in a big way at the BKLYN BUNDLE UP! Over 50 leading fashion designers and retailers signed on to participate in this City Point Pop-Up Shop, donating winter coats and cold weather accessories to deserving GLAM4GOOD recipients: women, teens, and children in New York City. The event, part of the GLAM4GOOD Foundation’s ongoing empowerment program, was hosted at City Point in Downtown Brooklyn on Saturday, November 19th.

“This inspiring GLAM4GOOD x CITY POINT event brought together women and girls who have gone through some of life’s greatest challenges and tragedies and gave them a joyful, dignified, empowering day to shine their spirit. We wanted them to know that GLAM4GOOD, City Point and the fashion community has their back and that we have created a safe place they can shop for what they need to stay warm this winter and feel beautiful. I am so grateful to the brands that have donated to make this day so special. This is fashion sustainability at it’s best…using the power of style to make a social impact.”

GLAM4GOOD uses fashion and beauty to honor courage, empower confidence, raise awareness, promote healing and dress people in need. BKLYN BUNDLE UP! is one the organization’s signature #shoppingspree4free events, harnessing the power of fashion to promote well-being and self-esteem through a curated, festive giveaway, complete with free styling consultations, a DJ, refreshments, and photo booth! The attendees received winter coats, accessories, shoes and even socks from over 50 retailers and designers including Aldo, Ann Taylor, Alice and Olivia, America Eagle, BeBe, Burlington, Camuto Group, Calvin Klein, Club Monaco, CoatsDirect.com, DVF, Express, Gap, H&M, Hot Sox, Hello Kitty, Joe Fresh, Lane Bryant, Mara Hoffman, Michael Kors, Tommy Hilfiger, Talbots, Rachel Roy, White and Warren, and many others.

City Point is dedicated to giving back to the community and BKLYN BUNDLE UP! is part of their holiday programming. “Giving back is a big part of the City Point DNA and we are proud to partner with GLAM4GOOD. Mary Alice has created an amazing organization—tireless and always stylish—in its efforts to give back” said Paul Travis Managing Partner of Washington Square Partners.

Special THANK YOU to the Mama Foundation’s Gospel for Teens for breaking into song at this event! It was an honor to pamper them with GLAM4GOOD.
