Wear A Deadly Weapon

Illegal guns just turned into summer’s coolest statement jewelry! You need to know about the new collection from Liberty United that turns deadly weapons into chic cuffs, rings and necklaces. This unique brand repurposes illegal guns from the streets and, through designer collaborations, turns them into stunning pieces made from guns and bullets, all to raise awareness and help stop gun violence.

Partnering with jewelry designers, brother and sister duo, Philip and Courtney Crangi of Giles + Brother, Liberty United launched its first capsule collection using bullet casings, brass, gun-metal, steel and sterling silver to transform objects of violence into wearable art. Each piece of jewelry is marked with the serial number from the illegal gun destroyed to produce it.

Show your support for this amazing cause by piling on these chic spike bangles and rings. The railroad spike design is inspired by Giles + Brother’s signature spike. Designer Philip Crangi explains,

From its roots in 1869, my signature spike is symbolic of the American pioneering spirit, and my design is a tribute to these ideals. Significantly, this also embodies Peter’s vision and the mission of Liberty United.

Liberty United is dedicated to helping young people at risk, the families and victims of gun violence and to doing whatever they can to reduce gun violence by removing illegal guns from circulation by donating 25 percent of all profits directly to local partnerships.

Ethos Water founder and Liberty United creator, Peter Thum is passionate about his new venture and tells us,

The most meaningful part of the experience of starting Liberty United has been meeting the people whose lives we can change by engaging the public with a great new idea, and working with the city officials and law enforcement officers in these communities who care deeply and work tirelessly on tough issues like gun violence.

GLAM4GOOD loves that Liberty United has transformed what were once symbols of violence into fun, fashion forward pieces that people can be proud to wear.
